This is a picture I took in downtown San Antonio. The building on the left, the NationsBank Building, is where my father has his office. It is the second tallest office building in San Antonio. The building on the right is the Southwestern Bell Building. With few windows, the building is one of the ugliest in San Antonio.

VIA is San Antonio's mass transit system. It is considered to be one of the best in the nation. In San Antonio, it is better known as the operation that funded Henry's Folly -- The Alamodome.

The breakfast table in my parents home is the site of nearly all of our family's meals and much of its conversation. My family is definitely an atypical '90s family; we make a point to eat dinner and other meals together.

As of this Christmas, my parents will have lived at 13018 Country Trail in San Antonio for 19 years. It is the only house my sister has every known and the one from which most of my memories come. When I think of home, this is it.
